The most key technologies are the integration of Electronic Paper Display (EPD) with SOC (System On Chip) designed by SmartDisplayer. Due to physical definition of ISO card, the features of DisplayCard’s materials and components shall be flexibility, low power consumption, impact-resistance and thinness. Unfortunately, the most popular flat display technology like LCD and APD do not meet those requirements. EPD is flexible, bistable, impact-resistant and very thin. EPD totally comply with the definition of ISO card that LCD and APD do not meet. Besides EPD, the SOC is also a big challenge.
